ABSTRACT

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is emerging as a transformative approach in India's development landscape, particularly for the dairy sector, which supports millions of rural livelihoods. CSR involves voluntary actions by companies to contribute to social and environmental well-being beyond their economic and legal obligations. In dairy development, CSR offers vast potential to address critical challenges such as low productivity, lack of infrastructure, fodder scarcity, and limited market access. By integrating corporate initiatives with government schemes and research institutions like ICAR, CSR funds can enhance farmer welfare, strengthen rural economies, and promote sustainable dairy practices. Effective utilization of CSR in dairy farming can serve as a bridge between corporate growth and rural prosperity, fostering an inclusive model of agricultural advancement.
