ABSTRACT

Milk and dairy products are highly nutritious but can serve as vehicles for foodborne pathogens, posing significant public health risks. Traditional microbiological methods for pathogen detection are often time-consuming and may delay corrective actions. Rapid detection technologies, particularly nucleic acid-based methods such as PCR, real-time PCR, LAMP, and next-generation sequencing, offer faster, sensitive, and specific identification of pathogens in milk and dairy products. These modern approaches enhance food safety monitoring, support regulatory compliance, and help the dairy industry ensure the production of safe, high-quality products.
