ABSTRACT

The Dairy 4.0 paradigm in India reflects the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) into dairy processing, transforming it into a data-driven and sustainable system. AI–ML models enable precise prediction, quality control, and process optimization across the dairy value chain. Using sensor and experimental data, models such as neural networks and regression techniques improve decision-making and efficiency. Applications include spoilage detection, fermentation prediction, and shelf-life estimation. Advanced tools and hybrid frameworks further enhance performance. Overall, AI–ML adoption strengthens productivity, traceability, and sustainability, positioning the Indian dairy sector for global competitiveness and intelligent, automated operations.
