ABSTRACT

In India, Ethnoveterinary Medicine (EVM) encompasses traditional therapies like herbal treatments, animal-based remedies, and Ayurveda, rooted in the country’s rich biodiversity and ancient texts. EVM provides cost-effective and accessible healthcare, especially in rural areas with limited access to modern veterinary services. EVM is at risk of being overshadowed by modern veterinary practices.
