Addressing the decline of superior camel germplasm and suboptimal reproductive performance is essential for the long-term sustainability of elite camel populations and the livelihoods of communities that depend on them. To maximize reproductive potential, it is crucial to explore effective semen liquefaction and cryopreservation techniques. The knowledge gained and protocols developed can contribute to genetic preservation, selective improvement, disease control and enhanced reproductive efficiency, ultimately boosting milk production. Furthermore, a deeper understanding of sexual behaviour, coupled with comprehensive reproductive management strategies and biotechnological advancements, can significantly improve reproductive outcomes and support the continued propagation of declining superior germplasm.
