ABSTRACT

The need to address milk adulteration in India is imperative due to its significant impact on public health and the integrity of the dairy industry. This paper presents a comprehensive approach to tackle this issue, emphasizing stringent regulatory measures, technological innovations, and public awareness initiatives. Key strategies include the establishment of quality control laboratories and the deployment of mobile testing units equipped with user-friendly detection kits. Furthermore, proactive enforcement actions, targeted interventions in high-risk areas, and educational programs for consumers, particularly children, are essential components of the proposed solution. By implementing these strategies collectively, various states aims to mitigate the risks associated with milk adulteration, safeguard public health, and maintain the credibility of its dairy sector.
