ABSTRACT

Early life pain in cattle calves is a concerning issue that warrants attention and intervention. Calves experiencing less pain and distress are more likely to have enhanced growth rates, better immune responses, and lower susceptibility to diseases. This, in turn, can lead to improved overall herd health, reduced mortality rates, and better economic outcomes for farmers.
