ABSTRACT

Recent studies/reports revealed that milk powders are now getting adulterated with soy powder/soy proteins to increase the protein level in milk powder by unscrupulous manufacturers. To ensure the consumer safety and quality of milk and milk powders, detection of soy beverage in bovine milk and soy proteins / soy powder in milk powder is now a prime requirement for Food Safety and Quality Assurance.
