ABSTRACT

Dairy industry sector is presently growing at a rapid pace as the demand for milk and its products increases. However, despite this expansion, the business still confronts many difficult demands and difficulties. This article discusses about agricultural and livestock economies, present livestock scenario, milk production, an overview of the dairy sector, dairy development, food security through the dairy sector, various schemes, impact of dairy farming, milk marketing channels, challenges of dairy farming, a SWOT analysis of the dairy sector, and strategic planning for dairy development in Manipur, India.
