ABSTRACT

The future of dairy entrepreneurial development in India is dependent on the performance of the dairy entrepreneurial ecosystem prevailing in the states. The milk production by masses cannot be a continuous practice of dairy development in India owing to limited resources, low and unproductive animals, problems of global warming, waste management and loss of ecological areas. Hence it is imperative to focus on increasing the animal productivity and develop commercial farms sooner or later for sustainable development of the dairy sector and achieve the required milk production; without overlooking the sector's role in poverty alleviation and rural employment.
