Non-nutritive behaviors of animals are considered abnormal or stereotypies when the behaviors are excessive and have ill effects to the individual or pen mates. In dairy world, majority of the abnormal behaviors are associated with the welfare of animals in its environment. These behaviors may arise in animal due to separation from their mothers to an isolated environment as occurs during weaning.
